Pitch · The intelligent account · family personal offices
The household balance that knows what to do when someone dies, is hospitalised, or simply goes dark.
01The problem
Money on chain dies with its key. Recovery schemes are all-or-nothing: either a seed phrase in a drawer, or a lawyer, or a multisig the family cannot operate at the worst possible moment. Nothing in between, nothing gradual, nothing reversible, and nothing a family member without a wallet can take part in.
02The product
A family drawn as a graph. You in the middle, the people you named around you, and a quiet-period ring that resets every time you touch your phone. Go quiet for long enough and authority begins to move to them, gradually, in the shares you set, over weeks. Touch your phone and it all comes back at once.
Anything large asks a witness on their phone, right then. Not a crypto product: a family product with no crypto vocabulary on any screen a family member sees.
03Why this is only possible on Arc
Co-signature is only useful if the second person can approve within seconds at the point of need, and a handover is only safe if pulling it back is final before anyone can act on it. Arc settles both deterministically in under a second. Anywhere else the family is waiting on a pending transaction at the worst possible time.
04Who pays, and how it earns
- Custody fee. A small annual basis-point fee on the household balance, streamed per second.
- Setup and concierge. Households set up with a person on the phone, priced once.
- Estate services. Documents, notarisation and executor tooling for the handover, sold to the family and to advisers.
05The market
Tens of trillions of dollars will pass between generations over the next two decades, and an increasing share of it is held in accounts that die with a key. Every self-custodied balance held by someone with a family is a household waiting to be set up.
06What is live today
- Heir, live on Arc mainnet
- Household.sol: six tests, graduated handover
- Set up your household from your phone
The household you see is an example running on the real rules. Setting up your own deploys a Household contract that holds your balance from then on.
07Roadmap
- Live nowThe graph, the handover, witnesses, the contract, set up from a phone.
- 90 daysWitness notifications by message; passkey sign-in for family members; funding from a card through Circle.

08The ask
A developer grant of USD 50,000 over six months funds witness messaging, passkeys, card funding and the first thousand households. Draft figure.
